How to Connect AirPods to iPhone: A Step-by-Step Guide

Make Sure Your AirPods are Charged and in Range

Before you can connect your AirPods to your iPhone, you need to make sure that your AirPods are charged and in range. If your AirPods are dead, they won’t be able to connect to your iPhone, so make sure they’re charged up before you begin. To check the battery level of your AirPods, simply open the AirPods case near your iPhone, and the battery level should appear on the screen.

Additionally, make sure your AirPods are within range of your iPhone. AirPods use Bluetooth technology to connect to your iPhone, so they need to be in close proximity to establish a connection. Keep your AirPods and iPhone within a few feet of each other to ensure a stable and strong connection.

Open Your iPhone’s Bluetooth Settings

To connect your AirPods to your iPhone, you need to first open your iPhone’s Bluetooth settings. To do this, go to your iPhone’s home screen and open the Settings app. From there, select “Bluetooth” and toggle the switch to turn Bluetooth on.

Once you’ve turned on Bluetooth, your iPhone will begin searching for available Bluetooth devices. Make sure your AirPods are nearby and in pairing mode so that your iPhone can detect them. Once your AirPods appear in the list of available devices, you’re ready to connect them to your iPhone.

Put Your AirPods in Pairing Mode

To connect your AirPods to your iPhone, you need to put them in pairing mode. If your AirPods are new, they should automatically be in pairing mode. However, if you’ve previously connected your AirPods to another device, you’ll need to put them back in pairing mode to connect them to your iPhone.

To put your AirPods in pairing mode, make sure they’re not in your ears and then follow these steps:

  1. Place your AirPods in their case.
  2. Open the lid of the case.
  3. Press and hold the button on the back of the case until the LED light on the front of the case starts flashing white.

Your AirPods are now in pairing mode and ready to be connected to your iPhone.

  1. Go to your iPhone’s Bluetooth settings.
  2. Tap the “i” icon next to your AirPods.
  3. Select “Forget This Device” and confirm that you want to forget your AirPods.
  4. Put your AirPods back in their case and close the lid.
